We are now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 chapter board.

Leadership is often tested in calm waters, but it's truly forged in the wave of trials. When storms of challenge and uncertainty roll in, it's a leader's unwavering resolve and strategic navigation that guides teams through choppy waters to calmer shores. As much as I’d love to paint the picture of our teams calmly floating into the sunset every time - leadership is not always smooth sailing. Inevitably, storms will brew, waves will crash, and the once clear skies will turn ominous. It's in these moments, our true leadership skills are tested.

As our board and team knows by now, I love sand volleyball. I love it in a “if I had started playing as a kid, I would probably have tried to play professionally” kind of way. But for whatever reason, my middle school self got into creative writing instead.

We are thrilled to share information about the UWHEN 2023 statewide conference. This is a wonderful (and very affordable) opportunity to network with fellow higher education professionals to advance your own and others’ leadership.

As part of the U’s UWHEN Professional Development team, Hollie helps design and create workshops and other opportunities for U women to grow careers in higher ed. As a staffer for the Emma Eccles Jones Nursing Research Center, she specializes in applying for research grants.
